At Quay West Living we can provide you with a very personal and individual Gift List service which would not normally be available from larger department stores or on-line agencies. We will help you choose the items and create your Gift List for your family and friends so that they may peruse and select from your choices.
We can provide you with the opportunity to make your desired choices from the items on display in our store or from items we are able to order from our suppliers. In this way you are able to help guide your guests towards making the ideal gift choices, for which you have shown a preference, thus alleviating the worry of wasted time and money on unwanted or unnecessary purchases.
REGISTER YOUR GIFT LIST
To register your list please contact us to arrange a visit to our shop for a personal meeting to discuss your needs. At this time we will register all of your details and discuss all aspects of our Gift List Service with you. You should consider compiling your list about two months prior to sending out your invitations.
You will be free to browse through the shop at leisure, peruse catalogues from our suppliers and begin to assess your individual requirements. Should you need to visit outside of normal opening hours we would be happy to accommodate.
Once you have compiled your list we will publish it on our web site and provide you with a List Number, Password for access etc. You can then provide your relatives and friends with these details so that they may view the list on-line. They will not be able to purchase directly on-line from our web site but they can contact us and we will amend the list accordingly at the end of every day. We will collect details from purchasers to ensure you have an accurate record of the Gifts purchased, and by whom.
ABOUT YOUR LIST
You can include as many items as you like on your list (it can be added to later), however it’s better to have too many gifts than not enough. Remember to include a wide selection of prices; don’t be shy of the more expensive items as relatives and friends may wish to club together.
Gift Vouchers can be added to your list so that guests can contribute a sum towards a larger purchase, as opposed to selecting an item from the list (available in £5, £10, £20 or multiples thereof).
We will provide you with the necessary information to send out with your invitations regarding your unique List number, web site access, contact details etc.
BUYING A GIFT
Once your relatives and friends have decided upon the Gift(s) they would like to purchase they can call into our shop or write, telephone, fax or email us. We will reserve or order the item(s) requested once payment is received, at which time we will amend the list accordingly. Alternatively guests can purchase Gift Vouchers if you have included them on your List. Guests can either collect their Gift(s) from us for them to deliver to you or alternatively leave them with us for our onward delivery to you.
When contacting us we will request details of the purchasers so as we may contact them in the event of any unforeseen problems with ordering etc. This will also assist us in compiling an accurate record of the Gifts purchased, and by whom, to give to you with the Gifts.
CLOSING THE LIST & DELIVERY
You should close your list approximately two weeks prior to your ceremony date, this will enable us to collate and wrap your Gifts. However some items may be purchased within the last few weeks prior to the ceremony and may have to be ordered from our suppliers. It may then take a number of weeks after the ceremony date for these items to arrive. These late orders may then be collected from our shop when they arrive.
We will gift wrap all items and, unless you request otherwise, we will deliver them free of charge to the address or venue of your choice within a 25 miles radius of our Falmouth shop. Deliveries further afield, but still within the County of Cornwall, will be subject to a £10 delivery charge (which must be paid prior to delivery). We will arrange with you a convenient date for delivery once all purchases have been fulfilled.
A list of all Gifts purchased, and by whom, will be supplied to you upon delivery.
